The subject of my art, whether as an etching, relief print, painting or collage, is inspired by nature. As a child growing up in Brazoria County, Texas, I spent my free time out exploring the fields and creeks that surrounded our home. Spotted Sparrow is inspired by the spunky song birds that frequent our yard in Central Austin. There is beauty in small moments; my goal as an artist is to capture the essence of those moments. Art Mail Global Gallery
My watercolor & gauche postcard landed in London, England. Winsor & Newton (maker of fine watercolor and gauche) invited artists to submit postcard paintings, mine was one of many that was selected to be exhibited in the Drawing Room, New York. Drawing Room is a natural new home for Winsor & Newton’s Art Mail project. Both are built on the same premise: that a small, low stakes artwork made by any artist can be worth showing, and that the people making them are more interesting together than apart.
